ENJOY NEIGHBOURHOOD ACTIVITY WITH THE SUMMER SPOTLIGHT,

A UNIQUE OUTDOOR CELEBRATION OF MUSICAL THEATRE IN THE STREETS

After Le Spotlight, which highlights the talent of emerging Montreal talent, the Centre for Education and Theatre in Montreal (CETM) launched SUMMER SPOTLIGHT, the first outdoor celebration of musical theatre in the city. Its performances take place out on the streets during the summer months.

Summer Spotlight is a unique socio-cultural activity that works to make musical theatre accessible to the general public. For the performers, it’s also a way to develop personal and artistic skills at the same time.

Our Summer Spotlight is a fun, interactive experience that brings out the excitement of musical theatre in an informal neighbourhood atmosphere.

In 2010, the group performed at various locations on Ontario and Sainte Catherine Streets.

Everyone can come and enjoy these free street performances.

The shows are bilingual, with songs in French and in English. They include classics like Les Misérables and Beauty and the Beast as well as more recent material from new musical theatre productions.
