The Centre for Education and Theatre in Montreal (CETM) believes that the best way to have a local live arts industry is to craft one.  This means helping the producers and artists of tomorrow to develop meaningful skills that will allow them to truly succeed in the real world.  It also means targeted marketing efforts designed to build and educate audiences as well.

We believe that through proper training, mentorship and sound business management, we can transform and enhance the local cultural scene.  We can create a model for artists based on self-sufficiency and diversification of activities.

CETM organizes visibility events like the Le Spotlight and The Next Wave Festival of New Musicals, which are among the few activities in Montreal in which emerging artists are actively showcased and supported.  CETM provides unique opportunities for local performers, designers and technicians to practice their chosen craft and display their abilities to the local public.
